Hello, my name is J. James-though my friends affectionately call me Skely. I've spent the lion’s share of my adult life immersed in the world of fashion design. In the post-pandemic years, I stepped into education with the NYC Board of Education, serving primarily within District 75 to support special education students. Throughout this journey, I've met countlessly bright, brilliant children full of potential who have, tragically, been written off by nearly every adult ïn their lives

Seeing this gap filled me with a deep sense of purpose. I knew I needed to leverage my skills to help these kids in ways that reach far beyond the walls of a traditional classroom.

That conviction gave rise to Prince James of NY. 

Our mission is to use this brand as a springboard to establish a trade school, a place where youth and individuals from underserved communities can master the craft of creating high-quality, highly marketable goods. To complete the cycle, our long-term vision includes opening a dedicated production facility to provide direct meaningful employment.

This is only the beginning of our journey. As we grow, learn, and take on the inevitable challenges ahead, we humbly invite your support, encouragement, and partnership.
